Click Travel's tech-led approach helps education sector secure savings - Click Travel

Universities and further education colleges across the UK now have access to cost-effective pioneering travel management services, after Click Travel was selected as an awarded supplier.

Tech-focused Click Travel was awarded on to the framework by the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) – an organisation that manages procurement framework agreements for consortia member institutions UK wide – based on the quality of its travel suppliers, its competitive pricing structure, and its versatile, award-winning booking platform.

The business’ technology-focused team, who developed its powerful, intuitive and user-friendly platform entirely in-house, have already secured places on two similar procurement frameworks for public sector institutions and charitable organisations. Click Travel also provides its advanced travel management services to a number of higher education establishments.

Click Travel is now an awarded supplier on the SUPC’s Travel Management Services Framework – an official endorsement of its commitment to providing a high-quality service with market leading technology.

Jayne Thorn, Category Manager (Corporate Services) from SUPC, says: “We are exceptionally pleased to be bringing this framework to universities and further education colleges across the UK; Click Travel’s award to the lot for Business Travel Services on the framework speaks to their competitive offering, which provides a quality service to users.”

Vicki Williams, Director of Sales at Click Travel, says: “Universities and colleges are under increasing pressure to deliver substantial cost savings, particularly through their procurement activities, so it makes sense for them to use a trusted travel management company.

“We are committed to continuous innovation, which helps us provide the most intuitive booking platform on the market. We are already recommended on frameworks for the public and third sectors, and are excited that we are now able to help more members from further education achieve real savings.”

The SUPC framework currently supports more than 130 organisations and offers 90-plus EU-compliant agreements that allow its members to purchase competitively priced goods and services across a wide range of commodity areas.
