Click Travel have been successful in their bid to join G-Cloud 9 and will be appearing on the Crown Commercial Service’s remodelled procurement framework from 22nd May, offering the public sector access to the travel management company’s brand new booking tool, travel.cloud.
G Cloud 9 is an exciting development in the CCS’ procurement framework, which underwent an extended discovery phase last year. All changes have been driven by the insights gained from user research, resulting in a better fitting experience for both public sector organisations and suppliers.
Click began the application process in March this year, with figures revealing that there were over 2,800 completed applications to join the latest iteration of the government’s cloud procurement platform.
“We are delighted to be appointed to the new G-Cloud framework,” says Click Travel’s Managing Director, Jill Palmer. “This expands Click’s reach in the public sector and gives public bodies further choice in the procurement of our services. By appointing Click through G-cloud public sector organisations will benefit from access to the widest travel content in the market via our brand new booking tool, travel.cloud. They will also be able to use a whole host of exciting new features that are all designed to make booking team travel much easier and quicker – something that is often of top priority in the public sector.”
The award-winning TMC recently announced the successful implementation of an NDC based direct connect solution with Lufthansa Group. The direct connect eliminates the Distribution Cost Charge (DCC) levied on bookings made via the GDS, as well as allowing Lufthansa Group to offer exclusive presale promotions and packages – content that public sector organisations will now be able to benefit from thanks to Click’s place on the G-Cloud framework.
travel.cloud enables users to search thousands of travel providers to find the best rates and widest choice. Simple enough for users to get themselves up and running, the service doesn’t cut corners on the tools needed for managing larger travel programs – with integrated support for contract rates, travel policies, approval processes and a complete reporting service as part of the package.
