The bite-size definition of PNR

In the airline and travel industries, PNR stands for passenger name record.

Travel agents or booking websites store PNRs as part of their CRS. The record contains the itinerary of either the traveller or a group of passengers travelling together. As a minimum, a PNR must contain the following 5 pieces of information to complete a booking; the name of the passenger, name of the individual making the booking, ticketing details, itinerary of at least one segment and the contact details of airline office or the travel agent.
