In travel management this can be a powerful tool to drive a desired travel behaviour within a company, such as booking through an online tool only or booking with preferred suppliers, by rewarding travellers through incentives.

For example a traveller could receive 10 points if they book through a preferred supplier and accumulate their points throughout a year to spend them on rewards such as cinema tickets.
